The Leiterberg Trail is a technically demanding track that travels through the woods on the outskirts of the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN. For skilled riders it's superfun, for those who are eager to learn the perfect training ground.  There a steep sections, rocky and rooty parts, and slippery bits – it's quite a challenge, especially the 2nd part.

The Leiterberg weaves into the flowy LETTN LINE that takes you down to the Giggijoch station in the valley.

You get to the track via the HARBE LINE from the Giggijoch or

(with a bit of pedalling) via Bartigs Bödele & the Rettenbach Trail from Gaislachkogl.

The Leiterberg Trail is also part of the Enduro Schölder M & Enduro Gortach G routes and the Long Trail Schölder.

Please yield to hikers!

Safety information

The Leiterberg Trail is a natural track, which has its flowy passages, but a lot of challenges as well: massive roots and rocks, steep and slippery terrain.

The BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN is all about coming together and having the best time on your mountain bike – no matter what your skill level is. So always take care of each other, show respect and support – also towards nature and all other people out there in the mountains and the valley.

> Please only ride existing, signposted trails and never trespass open meadows.

-> Avoid skidding, don’t cut switchbacks & leave no trace.

-> Stay alert, never scare animals and always close the pasture gates. In the REPUBLIC there’s always a chance of cattle on the trails and lines. Ride carefully and give them enough room.

-> Please note that the natural trails in the BIKE REPUBLIC are all shared trails. Always yield to hikers and give a friendly greeting.

Turn-by-turn directions

A technically demanding Natural Trail with several flowing sections is waiting for all freeriding aficionados. It travels through the lovely forests of the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN. Leiterberg promises endless fun for skilled bikers who have enough experience. Others must push the bike on some steep sections but they equally enjoy wonderful flowing parts. It also makes an ideal practicing terrain for improving your biking techniques. At the steep start the surface may be wet and slippery. After crossing a brooklet you reach a small but challenging rock before you can indulge in real biking pleasures. Keep to the left at the walking trail's fork-off (on the right you reach Edelweißhütte). This part of the trail merges directly into a forest route next to Leiterberg Alm – a perfect rest stop! The last stage requires good biking techniques and an excellent stamina on truly varied terrain. It crosses the forest route six times until you head towards the houses in the hamlet of Leite.
