You start at the parking in the center of oetz and walk to the cable car station at the end of the village. Walk up to the small chapel "Kalvarienberg" and from there higher to "Ebele". The panoramic point offers a beautiful view over the village Habichen. Follow the trail down to Habichen. Sometimes this trail is quite steep, be carefull of ice!
In Habichen cross the road and at Hotel Waldhof you turn left and into the forest again.

The easy trail leads you through the romantic forest to the river. You walk beside the river back to Brandach-bridge and fro there back to the village center.
Author’s recommendation
When you leave the forest and reacht the river, you can first turn left and walk another 10 minutes to "Weller-bridge".

Enjoy a both comfortable and relaxing train ride to the train station in Ötztal Bahnhof. You get off the train in ÖTZTAL Bahnhof where you change to a public bus or local taxi. The current bus schedule can be found at: http://fahrplan.vvt.atGetting there
The car drive to the Ötztal valley. Situated in Tirol, the Ötztal valley set off in southerly direction and is the longest side valley in the Eastern Alps. The journey with the car leads you through the Inntal valley to the entrance of the valley and further on through the valley. Among the toll motorways you can also use the country roads. The following parking facilities are available:- Parking Oetz town center- parking fee
- Parking next to the river (at the end of Oetz on the right hand side) – free of charge, but limited parking; camping prohibited
- Parking Acherkogelbahn - free for guests of the gondola lift, camping prohibited
- Parking at night during several days' tours: Parking Oetz town center, the ticket is available at the tourist office Oetz.
