On the leading edge of the approaching former hurricane "Kirk," a southerly föhn wind flow will build up over the Alps on Wednesday. As a result, the clouds will break up during the day, allowing the sun to shine at times. The main Alpine ridge, however, will remain densely clouded. Due to the föhn conditions, temperatures are expected to be mild. On Thursday, the cold front from the former hurricane will reach us, and as the föhn subsides, rain will spread across the country. The snow line on the mountains will drop to around 2000 meters above sea level. On Friday, the weather will be unsettled and therefore more prone to showers, although the sun will appear intermittently. Over the weekend, high-pressure influence is expected to gradually strengthen, meaning the sun should also be more visible.
