    IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

    The hiking trail from Mauslasattel towards Hemerkogel will be closed due to wood work with a cable line from September 16th 2024 to October 18th 2024! Alternatively, the wide forest road to Hemerachalm and further to Hemerkogel can be used. However, longer waiting times may occur here.

    The hiking starts by the car park Lehen in Niederthai. From there you walk in the direction to "Wiesle", but than you walk to the "untere und obere Hemerach hut". You pass the huts and walk to the Hemerkogel. On the top you have a amazing view. If you want to walk the same way back or the the grastal lake. From there you walk through the valley back to Niederthai.

    Public transport

    Travel safe and comfortable with the train to the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. Last stop and exit point is the train station Bahnhof ÖTZTAL. Afterwards you can travel smoothly and quick with the public transport or our local taxi companies through the valley to your desired destination.     The car drive to the Ötztal valley. Situated in Tirol, the Ötztal valley set off in southerly direction and is the longest side valley in the Eastern Alps. The journey with the car leads you through the Inntal valley to the entrance of the valley and further on through the valley. Among the toll motorways you can also use the country roads.
