The starting point of this winter walk is the central car park in Oetz. First you walk along the river to the Brandach Bridge, cross it and follow the path to Kohlstatt. From here, follow the signs to the lake "Piburgersee". The left side of the lake is flat and gets prepared in winter, therefore it makes it a easy walk. The lake "Piburger See" is a natural jewel, embedded in the nature reserve Piburger See. There are lots of mysteries and stories about the lake. In cold winters, the ice sheet freezes completely and will be prepared and released for ice skating. The path leads up to the village of Piburg. From there you follow the quite road back to Oetz.
