Facts and figures on the Umhausen Health Resort

The Künig Group stands behind the "Kurzentrum Umhausen" health resort project. The Group runs already eight health resorts spread over Austria and Bavaria, comprising 2200 beds and some 650000 overnights.

The Bavarian town of Weißenstadt already has a health resort - run by the same Group - which focuses on radon therapies. From September 2011 all these specialized treatments will also be available in Umhausen.

Furthermore the company invested some 20 million Euros in the new Umhausen Health Resort.

Among the special features of the Umhausen Health Resort are the healing effects of the noble gas radon which can be found in Umhausen's spring water. The range of healing therapies includes degenerative diseases of the spinal column, painful joints, rheumatism or illnesses of the respiratory tract and the skin.

A visible sign of Umhausen's new marketing position as a health resort area is the logo that combines the Ötztal Valley and the symbol of the investment group. The slogan is: 4 stars for your health! Both the Künig Group and Ötztal Tourismus appear with this common logo.
