Sölden celebrates the new winter season already on 22 October on the occasion of the ultimate 2010 Alpine Ski World Cup Opening, taking place high above Sölden at Rettenbach Glacier.
"Ladies first" is the slogan on Saturday for the Women's Giant Slalom. On Sunday the Men's Giant Slalom competition will be held on the same glacier slope.
