NEW! REGISTRATION
- Between 01 and 29 February 2008 all passionate cycling fans who want to participate in the 2008 Marathon, can register for a general fee of € 2 or CHF 3.20. Payment via credit card or direct-debit mandate without deduction and free of expenses for the event organizer.
- Our partner Datasport guarantees the maximum safety during the data transfer process.
Registrations made before or after this deadline are not valid. - Registrations can be made via www.oetztaler-radmarathon.com. The following data is required: first name, last name, address, date of birth and e-mail address.
- Groups can register via the special entry form for groups; all members of a group have to pay the fee in a single transaction.
- Participants who register several times are deleted from the list.
- The receipt of the fee will also be confirmed via e-mail.
- The fee will not be refunded. The proceeds of the registration will be dedicated to earmarked purposes (expenses deducted).
DRAW OF STARTING PLACES
- The main drawing takes place on Friday, 07 March 2008.
- All cyclists with a starting place are published on the official Ötztaler Cycling Marathon homepage the same day.
- All participants will be contacted by e-mail.
- The entry fee of € 75 and the chip deposit of € 10 have to be paid until Friday, 28 March 2008 - total amount € 85. Personal registration data has to be completed as well.
- All those who do not complete the registration form entirely and/or do not transfer the entry fee by 28 March 2008 will be deleted from the starting list and the starting place will again be at disposal of other cyclists in the next draw.
- Further draws of starting places are held on a regular basis until the official maximum number of participants will be reached.
- Drawings will be announced online at www.oetztaler-radmarathon.com
- The registration/entry status can be checked online. Only persons registered regularly until 29.2.2008 can take part in further drawings of starting places.
- All participants will receive a written confirmation and their starting number by post or e-mail until 01.08.2008. To avoid unnecessary waiting times this original starting place confirmation has to be signed and handed in when you pick up the starters' packages in Sölden.
SPECIAL DRAW
The Ötztaler Cycling Marathon has an infinite number of friends, patrons and fans. All these passionate people should have the right to a say when it comes to the drawing of starting places. Therefore the organizing committee provides 100 - in words: one hundred - wild cards for registered persons who attract the biggest number of fans via Internet votes. All registered cyclists are strongly recommended to motivate their family, friends and club members to give their votes! The Internet voting program allows every fan to vote only once for only one person. Fans who ignore this rule and try to vote several times are deleted from the LIST OF FANS. Personal data is registered as the fans can win a great vacation in Sölden from Friday, 29.8.2008, to Monday, 1.9.2008. Additionally, one fan has the chance to follow the entire cycling marathon in one of the three race directors' cars. FAN VOTING DEADLINE: from 01 February 00.00 am through 29 February 12:00 midnight. GET READY FOR YOUR FAN-RAISING CAMPAIGN - IT'S REALLY WORTH IT!
LIMITED NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
There is a maximum number of 4,000 cyclists allowed to participate in the Ötztaler Cycling Marathon 2008.
ENTRY FEE
Entry fee for all cyclists: € 85 or CHF 136 (€ 75 + € 10 deposit for the chip), the deposit of € 10 will be given back upon the return of the chip on the race day.

TRANSFERRING/PASSING ON OF STARTING PLACES
It is possible to transfer or to pass on the already registered starting place to other persons. The service charge is € 10. Changes of participants can be made exclusively at the organizing committee by 15 July 2008 at the latest. A special form is available on request.
WITHDRAWAL
In general no refund is granted if the participant is not able to participate in the race and cancels his entry. Online bookers can take advantage of the cancellation insurance which refunds the entire entry fee and the chip deposit if the entry has to be cancelled due to injuries or illness. Please take a closer look at the insurance terms and conditions in the course of the online registration.
If no insurance was taken out the following conditions apply: With written cancellations sent directly to the event organizer by 15.07.2008 the entry fee will be refunded. Withdrawals due to injuries are accepted upon a written medical certificate until 10.08.2008. Starting numbers are not transferable and they are not valid for the next year. The chip deposit of € 10 will not be refunded.
SIGNATURE
With the signature on the starting number confirmation, which has to be presented at the starters' package pick up, every participant accepts the general terms and conditions. All cyclists accept full responsibility for their health and physical condition. The organizer does not accept any responsibility for accidents during the marathon.
