The original marathon course features 1 official checkpoint as ordered by the local authorities: Timmelsjoch pass, 7.30 pm.
All participants who do not pass the checkpoint in time will be disqualified and do not receive a Finisher shirt.
The organizer will install furhter check points in St. Leonhard and at the refreshment station next to Gasthof Schönau. The checkpoint is located next to the timekeeping point for the stage between St. Leonhard - Timmelsjoch, and must be passed by 3.30 pm. Participants must pass the Schönau refreshment area by 6.00 pm. Participants who pass the checkpoint later have the possibility to take one of the broom buses. The race committee is of the opinion that all cyclists who arrive after 3.30 pm or 6.00 pm at the checkpoints have no chance to reach Timmelsjoch pass by 7.30 pm.
But the organizer reserves the right to install additional checkpoints along the track. These points will be listed on the official information boards from Friday 27 Aug., and announced on the occasion of the cyclists' meeting that takes place on Saturday, 28 Aug., at 7.30 pm.
