Dear friends of the Ötztaler Cycling Marathon,
once again we are ready to kick-off the registration period for the 2012 Ötztaler Cycling Marathon. Take your chance and register for the coveted starting places, which are drawn by lots, until 29 February 2012 at the latest. With a simple mouse-click on the registration button you can try your luck.
Ötztaler Cycle Marathon 26 Aug 2012
"I HAVE A DREAM" – This is once again the slogan of the ultimate 2012 Ötztaler Cycle Marathon.
On 26 Aug 2012, some 4000 passionate road cyclists will face the great challenge: endless 238 km and 5500 meters altitude gain! The marathon course leads from Ötztal's high Alpine glacier world to the lower Tirolean mountain ranges, further on to the sun-flooded vineyards in South Tyrol and back again to the eternal ice of the Ötztal Valley. As there are 4 Alpine passes to conquer, the Ötztaler Cycle Marathon ranks among the Alps' toughest road cycling races.
You can register online for the "2012 ÖTZTALER" right here on our website from 01 Feb 2012 through 29 Feb 2012. Afterwards, the 5000 starting places will be drawn by lot from the pool of regularly registered cyclists.

- Registration: 01 – 29 February 2012
- 1st draw of starting places: 06 March 2012
- Payment deadline, 1st draw: Friday, 30 March 2012
- 2nd draw of starting places: 04 May 2012
- Payment deadline, 2nd draw: Friday, 20 May 2012
- Passing on of starting places: 21 May – 02 July 2012
- Cancellation: without cancellation insurance until 13 July 2012

30 Years Ötztaler Cycling Marathon
Everything is new: Timmelsjoch Pass, communication and jerseys
The coveted Ötztaler Finisher Jersey has already arrived. Ötztal Tourismus employee Vanessa Haid, responsible for the Ötztaler Cycling Marathon administration, slipped into the new shirt and was totally enthusiastic about it. After a photo shooting she explains: "It feels very nice to wear the new shirt, thanks to the new zipper it can be closed entirely – without having any problems when you take it on or off!" Of course, the new jersey was highly coveted by the whole Ötztal Tourismus staff. It would make a great decoration for their office rooms! But the exclusive shirts are reserved to the participants in the 30th Anniversary Ötztaler Marathon, who reach the finish in Sölden in time.
