Last year the beautiful edelweiss accompanied the Ötztaler Cycle Marathon along its course. This year the rare gentian is the symbolic flower of the marathon. The lovely blue gentian is also known as a symbol of faithfulness - just like the countless cyclists who keep faith with the Ötztaler Cycle Marathon.

This finisher shirt of the Alpine trilogy collection is a highly coveted item. All those who want to receive it must register online until 28 February online. Only cyclists registered in time, can take part in the drawing of 4000 starting places on 05 March!

ÖTZTALER CYCLE MARATHON 2013

Hello to all passionate "Ötztaler" cyclists,

as I received the Ötztaler finisher shirt already for the second time I can easily imagine the incomparable experiences of thousands of cycling enthusiasts. Similar to a flower-strewn meadow featuring a great variety of colorful highlights, the striking blue Alpine gentian is the symbol of the next Ötztaler edition! One of the things I am quite worried about is the huge amount of garbage along the marathon course. It is of utmost importance to solve this problem as our Alpine meadows are not a rubbish dump! I would also like to remind you of the registration for the marathon in February.

Ötztaler Cycle Marathon 26 Aug 2012

Ankündigung_ÖRM_2011 "I HAVE A DREAM" – This is once again the slogan of the ultimate 2012 Ötztaler Cycle Marathon.

On 26 Aug 2012, some 4000 passionate road cyclists will face the great challenge: endless 238 km and 5500 meters altitude gain! The marathon course leads from Ötztal's high Alpine glacier world to the lower Tirolean mountain ranges, further on to the sun-flooded vineyards in South Tyrol and back again to the eternal ice of the Ötztal Valley. As there are 4 Alpine passes to conquer, the Ötztaler Cycle Marathon ranks among the Alps' toughest road cycling races.

You can register online for the "2012 ÖTZTALER" right here on our website from 01 Feb 2012 through 29 Feb 2012. Afterwards, the 5000 starting places will be drawn by lot from the pool of regularly registered cyclists.
